Getting started with a submission
This page explains the recommended first steps in a submission to FEGA Sweden. You can create a submission request at any point, including when you are unsure. The request starts a dialogue with the FEGA Sweden Helpdesk, which can help you assess your case and clarify what is needed next.

The first three steps
Check suitability
Make an initial assessment of whether FEGA Sweden is suitable for your data.
Start the dialogue
Create a submission request, even if some questions are still open.
Prepare the details
Work through the relevant practical, legal, and metadata questions with us.
Is FEGA Sweden right for your data?
Read Is FEGA Sweden the right repository? to consider the types of data you want to submit and whether they require controlled access. If you are unsure, you do not need to decide this before creating a submission request: the Helpdesk can help you assess it.
Create a submission request
If FEGA Sweden may be suitable for your data, or if you are unsure, create a submission request. You do not need to have files, metadata, legal roles, or ethics documentation ready. The FEGA Sweden Helpdesk will review your request, help resolve outstanding questions, and identify the relevant next steps.
What happens after you create a request?
After receiving your request, the FEGA Sweden Helpdesk will work with you to identify what is relevant for your submission. This can include your organisation’s involvement, legal roles, ethics documentation, data files and dataset grouping, and metadata. You can explore or prepare any of these topics early if that is useful to you, but none needs to be completed before you create a request.
