Is my organisation onboarded?
To submit data to FEGA Sweden, established processes need to be in place with the organisation responsible for the data, such as legal and administrative procedures that make submission possible. In many cases this will be your own organisation, but collaborations may involve more than one organisation.
FEGA Sweden currently has established processes with Lund University, Uppsala University, and the Swedish Childhood Tumor Biobank (Barntumörbanken), and work is ongoing to establish processes with additional organisations.
FEGA Sweden also has Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) with several additional organisations; see Legal and GDPR arrangements for organisations. A DPA is usually part of onboarding, but it does not on its own mean that the organisation is fully onboarded for data submission.
If the relevant organisation is not onboarded
If the relevant organisation is not yet onboarded, it usually means that the legal and administrative prerequisites for data submission are not yet in place. In practice, this means that a full submission cannot move forward until those processes have been established with that organisation.
We still recommend that you submit a submission request. This helps us assess your case and contact you about next steps. For example, we can let you know whether:
- onboarding of your organisation is already ongoing
- additional onboarding work needs to be initiated
- there are preparatory steps you can take while onboarding is being handled
Submitting a request early is therefore useful even if the relevant organisation is not yet onboarded, since it allows us to advise you on what is possible and what may need to happen before data can be submitted.
If you are unsure, please contact the FEGA Sweden Helpdesk.
